We collaborate with insurers, lawyers, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals to address a wide range of engineering and architectural issues.

The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Warrington office. This position focuses on investigating, troubleshooting, and analyzing electrical systems, and communicating findings to clients. You will have the opportunity to learn from and support senior engineers, requiring a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a desire to learn more. We are looking for a candidate who can manage schedule expectations, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to become part of an exceptional team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering team with field investigations, analysis, design, production of contract documents, and construction administration services
  • Assist with damage assessment and cause and origin investigations
  • Perform required field surveys, calculations, design, and equipment selection
  • Prepare field notes, feasibility studies, cost analyses, and specifications
  • Complete technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings and prepare materials related to presentations
  • Interface and coordinate with Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Clients, Lawyers, and other experts
  • Assist with the organization and preparation of construction drawings and specifications
  • Review and research applicable codes

Requirements

  • Strong writing, verbal communication, and analytical skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartership preferred
  • Interest in electrical investigation/design of buildings and industrial systems, experience in renewables and electrical equipment failure, as well as interest in litigation support and insurance claims evaluations
  • Proficient in both manual and software-assisted calculations
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit/Microstation is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
