The Senior Service Engineer plays a pivotal role in Senseco Systems Limited, overseeing complex sites and providing expert technical guidance to customers. With a broad knowledge of various products, they mentor junior engineers, ensuring seamless support and out-of-hours assistance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues via phone or on-site visits.
  • Conduct regular engineer audits, reporting findings to the service supervisor, including logbook accuracy and worksheet clarity.
  • Perform minor remedial and fault rectification works during PPM visits, following client instructions and separate call numbers.
  • Provide technical expertise, coaching, and support to junior engineers, setting the standard for technical excellence and best practices.
  • Assist in developing trainees, mentoring them in Senseco's working methods and reporting progress to the service supervisor.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report preparation and service call-out documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills, considering the life safety industry's demands.
  • Effective time management and customer-facing skills.

Competencies:

  • Proven experience in the fire industry.
  • Ability to install, test, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems and/or Security Systems.
  • Exceptional servicing, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve issues through elimination or technical recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and software programming on mainline products, including Morley, Advanced, Kentec, and Simplex.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience with a broader range of equipment, including software configuration and programming.
