About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Addiction Specialist Nurse to join our team at HMP Leeds, a category B Men's Prison located in West Yorkshire.

This is a unique chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance misuse. As a key member of our Substance Misuse team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or equivalent, with a passion for working with individuals affected by addiction. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

You will be working within a dynamic and supportive environment, where you can share your expertise and develop your skills further.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and treatments to patients
  • Conduct assessments, formulate plans, and provide ongoing support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have a legal right to work in the UK
  • Hold a current Nursing registration with NMC
  • Have a degree in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
  • Experience of working with individuals affected by addiction

This role is based at HMP Leeds, a secure men's prison located in Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
