About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our Prudential Risk team within Financial Risk Oversight at Nationwide Building Society. As a Compliance Advice Manager, you will play a critical role in providing specialist regulatory advice and support to ensure compliance with prudential regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist core prudential regulatory advice on interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory change within your portfolio, ensuring clarity of ownership of prudential regulations.
  • Maintain the list of applicable prudential regulations and work with 1st line teams to evolve management information for compliance with the prudential landscape.
  • Create monthly and quarterly outputs on key prudential publications for distribution and committees.
  • Work with Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure consistency of approach to managing regulatory change.
  • Build and develop relationships at a senior level, representing prudential risk at internal meetings.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proven track record in prudential regulatory advice and compliance. You will have a deep understanding of prudential regulations and the ability to interpret complex and sometimes conflicting regulation.

You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills. You will also be self-motivated with a desire to stretch yourself and seek out new challenges.
