Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Regulatory Risk Manager to join our team at Nationwide. As a key member of our Prudential Risk team, you will play a critical role in providing specialist regulatory advice and ensuring compliance with prudential regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist core prudential regulatory advice on interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory change within your portfolio, ensuring that the Society meets the expectations of the Prudential Regulation Authority.
  • Maintain the list of applicable prudential regulations and work with 1st line teams to evolve the management information for compliance with the prudential landscape.
  • Build and develop relationships at a senior level, representing prudential risk at internal meetings and working with Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure consistency of approach to managing regulatory change.
  • Support the wider team with prudential compliance knowledge and work with 1st line teams to ensure the implementation and compliance with prudential requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven prudential regulatory experience, with a strong understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of providing specialist core prudential regulatory advice, including interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
  • Ability to interpret complex and sometimes conflicting regulation, providing practical applications to the business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on a wide range of projects and provide opinions and best practice advice.
