Role Summary

We are recruiting an Event and Community Coordinator to join our dynamic fundraising team at St Giles Hospice. As a key player in our events and community fundraising strategy, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging experiences for our supporters and driving revenue growth.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in event management, community fundraising, and team collaboration. You will be required to work closely with our Community and Events Manager to develop and deliver innovative events and community initiatives that meet our fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage events, from feasibility studies to delivery, ensuring smooth execution and maximum impact.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community groups to promote our mission and increase donations.
  • Contribute to the development of community-based fundraising initiatives, including campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Proven track record of working to achieve targets and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Experience in event management, community fundraising, and donor engagement.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of fundraising techniques and legislation.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Donorflex) or other relevant systems.
