About the Role


We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Assistant to join our dynamic team at Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre.


As a Guest Service Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their stay.


You will be responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling room assignments, and responding to guest inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.


Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities



  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, including room assignments and key distributions
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as local attractions and events
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and communication

Requirements



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset
  • Previous customer service experience an asset
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
