We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our Rheumatology Team at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Rheumatology Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of rheumatological conditions.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in both medical and surgical environments. A rheumatology education or experience is highly desirable. You will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and comprehensive monitoring of patients, administering intravenous infusions, and providing clinical advice and support to patients and their families.

The Rheumatology Team is a dynamic and motivated group of professionals who work together to provide excellent patient care. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Consultant Rheumatologists, Specialist Doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing high-quality care to patients with rheumatological conditions
  • Administering intravenous infusions and medications
  • Providing clinical advice and support to patients and their families
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Participating in health promotion and prevention of ill health
  • Recording information about patients in a safe and accurate manner
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Cannulation and venepuncture skills or willingness to work towards
  • Mentorship qualification or similar
  • Experience of working in both medical and surgical environments
  • Rheumatology education or experience
