Specialist Teacher for SEMH Students

Job Title: SEMH Teacher
We are seeking a highly effective Class Teacher to deliver curriculum subjects to students within a specialist school in Chelmsford.
A school that caters to the needs of mixed-sex pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of needs, including SEMH. This well-resourced school has a high ratio of students to staff with small class sizes and a curriculum that is bespoke to the needs of the children and young people.
The school provides meaningful, positive, personalised educational opportunities for dis-engaged pupils who are being prepared to be reintegrated back into mainstream settings. Within this education setting, residential and therapeutic practitioners work together collaboratively, focusing on promoting students' well-being, encouraging resilience, and supporting their holistic growth.
The school delivers full-time education and covers both academic and vocational subjects in line with national benchmarks. We deliver differentiated teaching and learning activities within small groups in a purpose-built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum subjects to students with SEMH needs
- Work collaboratively with residential and therapeutic practitioners to promote students' well-being
- Develop and implement bespoke curriculum plans to meet the needs of students
Requirements:
- QTS/QTLS/Degree
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Strong pedagogical skills and ability to work collaboratively
