About the Role

hVIVO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientific Lead to join our team as a Principal Research Scientist. As a key member of our scientific leadership team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our scientific strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific leadership and expertise to support the development of new clinical trials and studies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical trials, including the development of study protocols and analytical plans.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on the scientific aspects of clinical trials.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in viral challenge models and clinical study design.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in virology and immunology and apply this knowledge to inform our scientific strategy.
  • Lead the development of training plans and materials for laboratory operational staff.
  • Provide scientific input into the development of proposals and costing for potential studies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and mitigate scientific and strategic risks.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant scientific subject.
  • Expert knowledge of virology and immunology, with a strong understanding of viral challenge models and clinical study design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor others, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
