We Are Workforce Ltd is seeking a skilled Logistics and Transport Planner to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the export and import of goods, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and paperwork.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing haulier partners and customers, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Regularly review performance metrics to optimize logistics operations and achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to bring on new customers and hauliers/subcontractors, expanding our network and increasing revenue.
  • Allocate loads daily to achieve the best possible margin, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Monitor delivery performance, notifying customers of any delays and working to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to set targets and achieve operational KPIs, driving business growth and success.
  • Ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date within our Transportation Management System (TMS).
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working within transport and logistics, with a strong understanding of export/import procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to develop and build relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Good understanding of current market rates and customs documents, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
