Advanced Hepatobiliary Nurse Practitioner Role in West Hertfordshire

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology Service at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to advance the care of patients with hepatopancreatobiliary cancer and benign cystic conditions.

This role will involve working closely with the Hepatology Team, Gastroenterology consultants, Cancer Team, MDT team, and other clinical members of the service. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with liver conditions such as cirrhosis, decompensated liver disease, primary biliary cholangitis, and pancreatic cysts.

The successful candidate will have substantial post-qualification experience, preferably at Band 6 or above, and significant demonstrable experience working with liver patients. They will be able to work autonomously, manage their own workload, and make decisions based on evidence-based practice.

You will also have excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, as well as the ability to work flexibly using best practice. The ideal candidate will be a registered adult nurse with current NMC registration and evidence of current CPD. A Master's degree or working towards MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice would be desirable.
