Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of examinations, including complex cases, and providing expert clinical guidance to junior staff.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing ultrasound examinations independently, including complex and acute cases
  • Producing interpretative reports and providing guidance on patient management
  • Supervising and mentoring less experienced staff
  • Participating in CPD and audit activities

Person Specification

We are looking for a skilled Sonographer with:

  • DMU or PgD in Ultrasound
  • Proficient NHS ultrasound experience in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and General Medical Ultrasound
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills
