PMLD/SEND Teaching Assistant - A rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and experienced individual to support children and young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in a Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) school in North West London.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver a high-quality education and care for students with complex and severe learning difficulties. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who can provide one-to-one support and create a positive learning environment.

About the Role
  • Location: Harrow, North West London
  • Work Schedule: Full Time - Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support students with daily living skills, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene
  2. Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes student well-being and engagement
  3. Develop strategies for managing challenging behaviour, working closely with the class teacher and external professionals as needed
Requirements
  • A full-time commitment working 5 days per week, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs
  • Understanding of PMLD and experience working with students with severe and complex needs
