About the Role

Fugro is seeking a skilled Metocean Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our marine survey team, you will be responsible for conducting Metocean field engineering activities, contributing to high HSE standards, and maintaining, testing, and preparing Metocean equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Metocean field engineering activities, including deployment and recovery of Metocean equipment.
  • Contribute to high HSE standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Maintain, test, and prepare Metocean equipment for offshore operations.
  • Work closely with offshore clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in project planning and contribute to the development of project proposals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Metocean engineering.
  • Offshore experience on a variety of Metocean projects, with a willingness to work offshore for approximately 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
  • Experience using Metocean equipment and proficiency in the setup and operation of commonly used sensors.
  • Strong understanding of real-time data, data acquisition, and data QC, with proficiency in software use.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle technical challenges.
  • Able to conduct repairs and calibrations to equipment.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines, with flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Systematic and methodical approach, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and language skills, with a can-do attitude.
