About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Metocean Service Technician to join our team of experts in the field of marine surveys and offshore projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to high HSE standards, maintenance, testing, and preparation of Metocean equipment, deployment and recovery of Metocean equipment, and offshore client liaison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct marine surveys and offshore projects, including Metocean field engineering activities
  • Contribute to high HSE standards, maintenance, testing, and preparation of Metocean equipment
  • Deploy and recover Metocean equipment, and provide offshore client liaison
  • Work on projects for offshore wind farms, renewable energy, and oil & gas
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to achieve project goals

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the offshore industry
  • Previous offshore experience on a variety of Metocean projects and willingness to work offshore for approximately 2 to 3 weeks at a time
  • Experience using Metocean equipment and proficiency in the setup and operation of commonly used sensors
  • Understanding of the principles of real-time data, data acquisition, and data QC, and proficiency in the use of software
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle technical challenges
  • Able to conduct repairs and calibrations to equipment
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements
  • A systematic and methodical approach, with a fine attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and language skills in English (reading, written, and spoken)
  • Full driving license
