Job Purpose

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Financial Aid Manager in the delivery of financial aid programs. This includes providing guidance and support to students and other stakeholders on financial aid options, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert guidance and support to students and other stakeholders on financial aid options, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.
  2. Process and assess applications for financial aid, determining eligibility and award levels.
  3. Work closely with funders and sponsors, including the US Department of Education, Student Loans Company, and Student Awards Agency for Scotland, to ensure compliance with their procedures and processes.
  4. Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial support resources for students and staff, including attending open days and orientation events.
  5. Participate in professional development to stay informed about changes and trends in financial aid policies and practices.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as excellent numeracy and IT skills. A knowledge of student financial aid schemes and government regulations relating to student finance is also desirable.

Terms and Conditions

This part-time (17.5 hours per week) role offers a competitive salary of £25,138 - £29,605 per annum pro rata.
