About the Role

The University of Glasgow seeks a highly skilled and organized Financial Aid Administrator to join its Student Support team. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional support to students and other stakeholders regarding financial aid options, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide guidance and support to students and other stakeholders on financial aid options, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.
  2. Process and assess applications to determine eligibility and award levels.
  3. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including funders and sponsors.
  4. Maintain accurate records and process data as required.
  5. Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial support resources for students and staff.
  6. Participate in professional development to stay informed about changes and trends in financial aid policies and practices.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent numeracy and IT skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to develop and apply specialist knowledge in an organizational setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a large workload effectively
