Inclusion Support Worker

The Royal Mencap Society is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Inclusion Support Worker. In this role, you will work closely with families who have children with learning disabilities, providing vital support and guidance to help them navigate the complex SEND landscape.
This rewarding position requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by families caring for children with SEND and a commitment to promoting inclusive practices that empower individuals to reach their full potential.
About the Role:
- Work closely with families who have children with learning disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them navigate the complex SEND landscape.
- Develop opportunities for co-production so that families can be involved in shaping better services and support across the community.
- Empower families to understand their rights and entitlements through workshops or opportunities which will help them better support their child.
About You:
- A strong advocate for inclusion with a passion for supporting families and promoting positive outcomes.
- Experience of working with families who have children with SEND or in a related field.
- Knowledge of the SEND landscape and local assets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and stakeholders.
What We Offer:
- An estimated salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 32 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 35 days with long service plus the ability to buy up to another 10 days via our Holiday Plus scheme.
- Service related sick pay when 6 month probation is completed.
