About The Role

The Workplace Consultancy Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our construction and fit-out projects across the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects to a high standard, within budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  2. Project Oversight: Have overall responsibility for the project, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  3. Health and Safety: Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to on site at all times, and continuously monitor and review H&S policies and procedures to implement changes where necessary.
  4. Progress Reporting: Review project progress in accordance with the programme and provide regular progress reports to management.
  5. Cost Control: Ensure awareness of cost control and commercials throughout the project, and work closely with the commercial and operational team to advise of progress and changes.
  6. Design and Construction: Liaise with the design team in respect of construction matters, and coach and direct project staff in relation to contractual and regulatory requirements.
  7. Team Management: Manage and develop the site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the highest quality is maintained throughout the project.
  8. Commercial Awareness: Have a strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation for the construction industry, and excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  9. Communication: Communicate effectively with the commercial and operational team to advise of progress and changes, and work effectively both alone and in a team environment.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve, adapt, and innovate while meeting compliance and commercial requirements.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience of working in a construction or fit-out company.
  2. Extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used to analyze the design and propose potential cost-saving measures.
  3. Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation for the construction industry.
  4. Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  5. Strong management skills and commercial awareness.
  6. Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment.
  7. A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and duties.
  8. Experience of producing timely reports for senior management level.
