Your New Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Fostering team within the Surrey area. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and families to ensure the best outcomes for those in their care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support prospective and approved foster carers.
  • Conduct regular home visits and provide ongoing support to foster families.
  • Develop and implement care plans for children and young people in foster care.
  • Conduct Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including health and education services, to ensure holistic support.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements.
Requirements

To be considered for shortlisting, your CV and personal statement should include the following:

  • Experience working with children and young people, alongside a thorough understanding of legislation related to Looked After Children.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
