Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our team as Lead Pharmacist for Medication Safety and Governance.

This role requires a strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and change management principles.

You will be responsible for leading the provision and assurance of our governance and medication safety agenda, managing and reducing medicines-related risks, and ensuring compliance with the Trust's Medicines Policy and legislation.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in hospital pharmacy, delivery of pharmacy services, and project management.

You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team to achieve their goals.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Post-graduate diploma/MSc in clinically-based pharmacy or recognised equivalent.
  • Pharmacy degree (BPharm, BSc or MPharm).
  • Independent prescribing qualification.
  • Significant experience in hospital pharmacy.
  • Delivery of pharmacy services to a range of specialities.
  • Evidence of significant relevant Continuing Professional Development.
  • Experience of project management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
