Job Overview: Hunter AHP Resourcing is currently seeking an experienced Locum ACT Pharmacy Technician to join a reputable NHS hospital in Buckinghamshire. This role presents an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians to support the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients.

Responsibilities: As a Locum ACT Pharmacy Technician, key responsibilities include:
  • Act as an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) for prescription orders and medicines dispensed.
  • Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medication in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support medication management across the hospital.
  • Conduct medicines reconciliation and assist in medication reviews on patient admissions and discharges.
  • Provide technical support to the pharmacy team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Manage the stock control of medications and ensure appropriate medication storage and handling.

Requirements: Essential requirements for this position include:
  • ACTION qualification and previous experience as an Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • GPhC registration as a pharmacy technician.

Estimated Salary Range: £15 to £20 per hour.
