Senior Programme Manager Opportunity

A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to oversee the redevelopment and cloud deployment of their core global insurance system.

This is a newly created role that will see you driving the transformation of core systems to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for leading a diverse team comprising internal and external staff, effective stakeholder engagement, and meticulous financial management throughout the project's life cycle.

The ideal candidate will come from a software development background with experience in.Net, JavaScript, and DevOps, and have several years' experience as a Programme Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the end-to-end redevelopment and cloud deployment of a complex financial system
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans
  • Coordinating and managing cross-functional teams to achieve programme goals
  • Ensuring the team properly defines requirements and specifications, testing, and implementation plans
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues effectively to mitigate impact to project success

Key requirements include:

  • Experience in software development with a background in.Net, DevOps, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and deployment strategies
  • Understanding of modern IT infrastructure, software development life cycle, and DevOps practices
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance systems and their operational requirements
  • Prince2 or PMI - PMP certification and/or Certified Scrum Master preferred
