Job Summary

NS&I is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Business Delivery & Transformation Directorate. As a Programme Manager, you will play a key role in delivering our Transformation Programme, working closely with the Programme Director to ensure successful programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful management and delivery of the NS&I Programme, in accordance with agreed methodologies, Enterprise Programme Office (EPO) standards and Programme and Project Management (PPM) best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective programme management strategies to ensure optimal delivery and optimisation of time, cost, and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate programme risks and issues, ensuring compliance with government guidelines and best practices.
  • Manage programme budgets in excess of £20M and individual project budgets in excess of £5M.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with programme sponsors, stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful programme delivery.
Requirements
  • Recognised PPM practitioner level qualification, such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) practitioner, PRINCE2 practitioner, or Association of Project Management practitioner.
  • Substantial experience as a Programme Manager in a similar environment to change and banking.
  • Experience in Programme management and in Project management within the public sector or Financial Services.
  • Experience of working in an outsource environment, as client and/or supplier.
  • Experience in delivering Change, managing multiple 3rd parties, and managing programme budgets.
  • Experience of managing and delivering Portfolios containing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience of managing programme budgets in excess of £20M and individual project budgets in excess of £5M.
  • Experience in Project/Programme Assurance.
  • Experience of managing Programmes and Projects in accordance with relevant public sector standards.
  • Commercial experience, preferably in financial services.
