Job Title: Senior Clinical Lead - Furness Rapid Response

Job Summary:

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Lead to join our Furness Rapid Response team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring high standards of care are delivered to patients and their families/carers, and contributing to service development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall day-to-day operational workload for the team, ensuring timely appraisals, mandatory training compliance, sickness management, and all relating human resource activity with the support of the HR team.
  • Manage a small and highly complex caseload of patients, who have diverse complexities of need, utilizing all appropriate resources effectively.
  • Ensure high standards of care are delivered to patients and their families/carers within their home environment or on the Step up/down units.
  • Contribute to service development, support development of collaborative working, and integration with health and social care providers.
  • Liaise with staff, patient/carers, and other agencies/organizations as required to ensure appropriate delegation of duties and risk management, while ensuring effective communication between those involved in the care package.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of Community Services and excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions to drive service improvement.

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust operates from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital, as well as a number of community healthcare premises.
