Senior Design Automation Specialist

Platform Recruitment is partnering with a manufacturer of bespoke special purpose machinery to find an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development, strong 3D CAD skills, and knowledge of fabrication, machining, and assembly techniques.
The salary for this role is estimated to be between £45,000-£55,000 based on the location in Cambridgeshire and the job requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop bespoke machinery
- Prototype and test designs
- Translate customer requirements to specifications
- Test feasibility of customer requirements
- Produce BOMs
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development
- Strong 3D CAD skills
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, and assembly techniques
- Ability to work as part of a team and on individual projects
