The Position

\

The Controls Hardware Design Standards Specialist will provide self-service engineering solutions, design standards, and best practices to the Controls Hardware Design team, achieving reduced engineering complexities, improved design efficiencies, supporting project milestone attainment, and project profitability while delivering the Eclipse Vision and Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You'll Be Doing

\
  • Leveraging EPLAN and other design assets, reducing engineering complexities and improving design efficiencies.\
  • Exploring new technologies and providing analysis and recommendations to Technology Center leaders.\
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of design standards and software utilization efficiencies.\
  • Ensuring the controls hardware design library, validation process, and auditing for design re-use.\
  • Reducing non-value controls hardware design processes and systems for improved efficiencies within the Technology Centers.\
  • Representing Controls Hardware Design in ongoing digital thread and digital twinning initiatives.\
  • Overseeing controls hardware engineering data migration and classification processes, ensuring data quality and effective collaboration with TC's.

Requirements

\
  • University degree or college diploma in Electrical, Systems, Mechatronics, or Robotics Automation Technology or equivalent experience.\
  • 5+ years' experience in controls hardware design in the custom automation industry.\
  • Understanding of the automation/controls design process.
\

Compensation Package

\
  • Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
