Are you passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact in secondary schools? We're looking for a dedicated Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at New Directions Holding. As a key member of our supply team, you'll work across various schools in Flintshire, supporting teachers in delivering lessons and assisting students with their learning.

This role offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to work in different school settings. Whether you're an experienced support staff or looking to gain hands-on experience in education, we invite you to apply. Your responsibilities will include assisting teachers with lesson preparation, supporting individual students, and encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Support individual students and small groups in understanding and completing their work
  • Encourage positive behaviour and foster a supportive learning environment
  • Help with administrative tasks and ensure classroom resources are well-organised

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to different schools as needed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one)
