About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Education and Support Professional. This rewarding role involves working closely with teachers and children to support their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work within a primary school full time, supporting pupils with their numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
  • To provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and help them achieve their full potential.
  • To assist teachers in various roles within the classroom, including preparing resources and displays.
  • To develop strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their learning and well-being.
  • Previous experience working with children or in a related field is desirable but not essential.
Training and Development

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £8.60 per hour, rising to National Minimum Wage after 12 months. We also offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life insurance, and employee assistance program.

Location and Working Hours

This vacancy is based at Ysgol Maes-y-felin, Pen-y-maes Road, Holywell, CH8 7EN. The working hours are 30 hours per week, term-time only.
