About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Directorate Manager for Pharmacy. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the directorate, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively and efficiently across both hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operational area across all hospital sites, ensuring quality, safe, and effective patient care.
  • Build successful teams, influencing and motivating staff to deliver challenging targets through times of change.
  • Support clinicians to deliver improved outcomes for patients through robust performance management, effective risk management strategies, and a strong clinical governance framework.
  • Work in partnership with the Chief Pharmacist to promote a positive, learning culture where staff are empowered to share ideas and drive progress.
Requirements
  • Significant operational experience at senior manager level, preferably in the Health/Social Care Sector.
  • Experience of budgetary management/control, planning, and developing strategy with a proven track record of pro-active performance management.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member, adapting to changing requirements.
  • Business-focused individual with an ability to think innovatively, sensitive to clinical and political demands.
