About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our Senior Pharmacy Management Team as a Directorate Manager for Pharmacy Services. This exciting opportunity will provide the right candidate with the chance to lead and manage a team of professionals, driving the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operational management of the pharmacy directorate, ensuring effective resource allocation and deployment across both hospital sites.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, service quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Pharmacist and Associate Chief Pharmacists to drive clinical governance, performance management, and risk management initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, stakeholders, and other teams to promote a positive and learning culture.
  • Manage and develop a team of professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective financial management and resource allocation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical and regulatory developments, ensuring the pharmacy directorate remains compliant and effective.
Requirements
  • Significant operational experience at senior manager level, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality services, improving patient outcomes, and driving efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clinicians, stakeholders, and other teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, including financial and clinical data sets, and present findings to inform decision-making.
  • Knowledge of the NHS and its policies, procedures, and guidelines.
