Education Assistant for Students with Special Needs

About the RoleEmpowering Learning is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our students. This position involves working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment for students with SEN.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students with SEN, including behavioural, emotional, and social support.
- They will also record and monitor the progress of students with SEN, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
- Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and relevant policies and procedures for supporting students with SEN.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
