We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) is committed to providing quality foster placements for children and young people in care. As a Fostering Assessment Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and best interests of our foster carers and their families.

Job Overview

This is a full-time fixed contract position starting on 1st February 2025, lasting 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing potential foster carers, supporting them throughout the assessment period, and ensuring they are prepared for the Fostering Panel.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will hold a full case load of Form F assessments and complete these within necessary timescales.
  • Support applicants to complete training and development work during the assessment period.
  • Ensure applicants attend the Fostering Panel both prepared and within policy timescales.
  • Undertake initial supervision and support work with carers after approval.
The Ideal Candidate
  • A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Familiarity with the Fostering Minimum Standards and Regulations.
  • A current UK driving licence and vehicle.
