**Job Title:** Special Needs Teaching Assistant

 

**Location:** Sevenoaks

 

**Salary:** £88 - £110 per day (via PAYE)

 

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive primary school team in Sevenoaks as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in assessing and documenting children's progress, fostering a learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of their ability.
  • Assist the class Teacher in creating a tailored, engaging learning experience for each child.
  • Foster a safe, positive and stimulating classroom setting and create learning resources to support children, based on their individual needs and interests.
  • Work alongside the Teacher and other Teaching Assistants to implement personalised and provision plans, providing tailored support to children on a 1:1 or group basis.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with SEN children or young people, ideally in an education setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
