Sports Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at GSL Education. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher and multi-agency teams in devising learning and care plans for children and young people with various SEN, including SEMH, Attachment Disorder, Autism, ADHD, Aggression, and those from LAC backgrounds.
Your role will involve setting clear boundaries and managing triggers of challenging behaviour, while supporting the child academically, emotionally, and socially. You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people in a support setting, particularly those with challenging behaviour. You will have a background in either Challenging SEN Provisions, Youth/Community/Social services, Residential Support, or Mental Health Support Services. Team Teach, Mappa, Nappi, or Pillars training is desirable, but not necessary. A Clear Enhanced DBS registered to the update service is required, and you will need to provide a full career history and two referees.
