About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Justice Officer to join our team. As a Youth Justice Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the Council provides a first-class professional service within the Youth Justice Service (YJS).
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly write assessments and/or reports on young people and their families for court, panels, and professional meetings.
- Engage with young people and their families while they are on a court order, ensuring excellent communication skills.
- Adhere to YJB policies and practices, including performance indicators and national standards, ensuring timeliness of assessment and reviews.
- Manage highly complex cases that pose significant risk to others in the community, including young people involved in harmful sexual behavior, gangs, and County Lines.
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification to degree level (or equivalent) in Youth Justice, Careers, Education & Guidance, Youth & Community, Probation Service, or Social Work.
- Extensive experience of working in the Youth Sector.
- Ability to work in the UK.
