Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel within the Council's boundary to inspect commercial and domestic properties and building sites.
  • Determine completion of new builds and property alterations to update the rating system.
  • Visit residents to assess eligibility for discounts and exemptions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property databases.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure correct database management.

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level, including English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Experience working independently and using judgement to solve problems.
  • Proven knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates collection.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and communicate information effectively.
  • Full clean driving licence is essential.
