Job Summary

Childhood First is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Care Worker to join our team at Earthsea House in Norfolk. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 5-10 years old.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to create a supportive and therapeutic environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the overall management and maintenance of the residential setting, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a therapeutic or residential setting is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, providing a high level of care and support to children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and external partners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and well-being.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including sleep-in duties, to meet the needs of the children and the residential setting.
