Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 3 Diabetes Midwifery Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our diabetes specialist midwives in caring for pregnant women with diabetes.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting midwives with clinics, patient education, phlebotomy, observations, documentation, and chasing results.
  • Providing administrative support, including booking clinic appointments and documenting on the Badger Net system.
  • Working collaboratively with the diabetes multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care for our patients.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • GCSE Maths and English grades A-C, or equivalent qualifications.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
  • One year of formal maternity care experience in a hospital or birth centre at Band 2 or above.
  • Experience of using hospital patient record systems.
  • Ability to work 24-hour shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays.
