Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 3 Diabetes Midwifery Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to our diabetes specialist midwives in caring for pregnant women with diabetes.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting midwives with clinics, patient education, phlebotomy, observations, and documentation
  • Chasing results and performing some administration tasks
  • Booking clinic appointments and documenting on the Badger Net system

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • GCSE Maths and English grades A-C or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience
  • Commitment to undertake in-house training
  • Care certificate

Desirable qualifications include a Foundation Degree in Maternity Pathway and previous experience in diabetes work.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate an adaptable and flexible approach to work, a positive attitude to training and development, and the ability to work 24-hour shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays.
