About the Role

The Diabetes Times is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and young people with diabetes.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to children, young people, and their families affected by Type 1, Type 2, and Rare Diabetes.
  2. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the complex nature and medical requirements of managing these conditions, ensuring the delivery of expert support within the nursing team.
  3. Work as a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary diabetes team, providing specialist nursing skills, knowledge, and expertise to children and their families.
  4. Act as a resource and support for primary healthcare teams, shared-care centers, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  5. Ensure that all children receiving investigation or treatment for diabetes receive the highest standard of care in both hospital and community settings.
