About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Diabetes Midwifery team as a Maternity Diabetes Support Worker. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to pregnant women with diabetes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the midwives with clinics, patient education, phlebotomy, observations, and documentation.
  • Assist with patient care, including chasing results and some administration tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of patient care plans and ensure continuity of care throughout the pregnancy journey.

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English grades A-C or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
  • Commit to undertaking in-house training and care certificate.
  • One year formal maternity care experience in a hospital or birth centre at Band 2 or above.
  • Experience of using hospital patient record systems and working in an acute hospital setting.
