Cleveland Clinic London are seeking a Clinical Effectiveness & Regulatory Lead to join our Regulatory Team, with a competitive salary range on offer.

This is a full time role with the following shift patterns: 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates efforts associated with the preparation of regulatory documents or submissions.
  • Develops and implements local monitoring systems to ensure compliance with national standards (including CQC).
  • Coordinates, prepare, or review regulatory submissions for regulatory compliance.
  • Identifies relevant regulatory guidance documents, national and international standards.
  • Interprets regulatory rules or rule changes and ensure that they are communicated new or updated standard operating procedures, work instructions, or policies, in reference to regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures to CCL
  • Maintains current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents.
  • Obtains and distributes updated information regarding national or international laws, guidelines, or standards.
  • Communicates with regulatory agencies regarding pre-submission information, potential regulatory pathways, compliance test requirements, or clarification and follow-up of submissions under review.
  • Help clinical services identify their evidence base and best practice guidance and support them to understand how this impacts, and possibly changes, service models and delivery of care.
  • Embed systems for continual audit and evaluation.
  • Outcomes and data from the audits will inform areas to focus on for continuous improvement as part of the Safety & Quality Improvement Plan
  • Advises project teams on regulatory and compliance issues and considerations.
  • Compiles and maintains regulatory documentation databases or systems.
  • Determines the types of regulatory submissions or internal documentation that are required in situations such as critical incidents, mandatory reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related healthcare field.
  • Master's degree desirable.
  • Audit training.
  • Continuous Improvement training.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality tools, lean foundation elements and change management.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing an organizational Audit programme, focused on internal audit and review of process, procedure, pathways, and outcomes.
  • Audit training or similar audit exposure in an internal audit function.
  • Demonstrable track record of continuous improvement experience in specialist area which may include progressively responsible experience supporting a clinical system and/or data/financial analysis, and similar.
  • Management and co-ordination of CQC Inspections.
  • Healthcare and governance experience.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Able to collect and use data to identify common themes and pull-out relevant data to support an intervention or business case.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular telephone manner.
