Job Title: Clinical Governance and Effectiveness Director

HeliosX Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Governance and Effectiveness Director to oversee the governance framework that ensures the highest standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical governance, healthcare regulation, and risk management, alongside proven experience with the CQC inspection process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor clinical performance through audits and incident reporting to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate investigations into clinical incidents, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and track data for weekly quality meetings and monthly, quarterly, and annual governance meetings/reports.
  • Work with the data analytics team to update/amend clinical data dashboards, particularly after launches of new products and services and expansion into new territories.
  • Ensure HeliosX meets and exceeds all CQC regulatory requirements for the safe and effective delivery of healthcare services.
  • Lead preparations for CQC inspections, ensuring compliance, documentation, and alignment with CQC's fundamental standards of care.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the CQC, handling all communications, inspections, and reporting, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Nursing, Medicine, Healthcare Management, or similar).
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, clinical governance, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical governance, regulatory compliance, or healthcare quality management.
  • Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager or in a similar role managing CQC compliance in a healthcare organisation.
  • Strong track record of managing clinical risk, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare or health tech environment.
