Financial Director Role

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Financial Director to lead our finance team in the UK. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring the company's financial health and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets that align with the company's strategic objectives, showcasing your expertise in financial planning and analysis, and leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring financial stability and making informed decisions to drive business growth, drawing on your experience and knowledge.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end financial processes, including audits, to ensure accuracy and compliance, maintaining a strong understanding of relevant legislation, and negotiating and managing relationships with external auditors, banks, and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert financial advice to senior management, offering insightful recommendations to inform business decisions, and leading the implementation of financial systems, policies, and procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the finance team.
  • Recruit, motivate, and develop high-performing finance teams, promoting a culture of excellence, and fostering collaborative partnerships that benefit the company.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record as a Financial Director or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in financial management and leadership, with a strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial challenges, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a passion for developing and motivating high-performing teams, and a AACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
