Student Mental Health Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Mental Health Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Student Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to students with Complex Learning Disabilities and significant Mental, Social and Emotional Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to students who require extra concentrated support throughout the school day
  • Work closely with students who display challenging behaviour and have mental health difficulties
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and well-being
  • Collaborate with qualified therapists, behaviour consultants, and psychologists to provide comprehensive support
Requirements:
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Education surrounding Special Educational Needs
  • Experience in a professional or home environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
