Mental Health Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant at a Special Mental Health School in Newbury.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and teenagers who face various social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural challenges. You will act as a positive role model, helping to develop their social skills, emotional regulation, and foster positive relationships with their peers.

With a patient and empathetic approach, you will help these students manage their emotions and form healthy relationships with others. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to kick-start their career in the mental health or psychology field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and teenagers with social, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve social skills and emotional regulation
  • Foster positive relationships with peers and act as a positive role model
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to provide a supportive learning environment
