Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Intensive Support Worker to join our team at Red Snapper Recruitment | Public Safety. As a Senior Mental Health Intensive Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Caseload Management: Hold a caseload of 30-35 clients with complex mental health needs, providing regular support and interventions to promote positive outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain supportive relationships with clients, creating a positive and trusting atmosphere that fosters engagement and motivation.
  • Service Access: Provide access to relevant services and support, introducing clients to and facilitating their engagement with appropriate resources.
  • Progression Support: Support clients to undertake the next steps in their progression journey, sustaining engagement with services and promoting long-term positive change.
  • Court and Hospital Attendance: Attend court or hospital with clients, maintaining links and providing ongoing support during periods of crisis or transition.
  • Benefits and Meetings: Support clients to claim benefits and attend meetings, ensuring access to essential resources and services.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NVQ2 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting clients with complex needs in community settings.
  • Driving License: Full driving license and use of a car is essential for this role, or willingness to travel across Berkshire using public transport.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work outside normal working hours, including occasional evening and weekend events, and flexibility to swap days to support clients.
