Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team at Maximus. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting assessments and producing reports to help determine an individual's eligibility for benefits.

You'll have the opportunity to work on complex cases, developing your clinical knowledge and assessment skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. Our comprehensive training programme will equip you with the necessary tools to succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess individuals with disabilities or health conditions, gathering essential information to inform benefit eligibility
  • Produce high-quality reports for the DWP, detailing individual circumstances and recommendations
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration number
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in adult or mental health nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using computer software and report writing
